If you are taking a trip to the Amazon, there are many things that you can do to ensure you have an amazing vacation.  These things include taking an excursion, pack proper clothes, and don’t forget your camera.

No vacation to the amazon is a good one unless you plan an excursion or a getaway through the rain forest.  Don’t think you can sit at your hotel room resort the entire trip and hang out in the city and call it an amazing vacation.  You must get out and head through the jungle.  The amazon has rivers you can travel down and almost every amazing animal that you can possibly think of.  You can go for just a day or a couple of days.  Some excursions offer tented sleeping in the wild or you can stay in a cabin.  The truth is that you will have an experience you will never forget.  That is the purpose of going to the Amazon in the first place, right.

Packing proper clothing is very important.  A suitcase for someone headed to the Amazon rainforest is full of a huge variety of clothes.  You might be planning on spending time on the beach. Pack your swimming suit.  You might want to pack a suit for the beach and one for the swimming pool.  Many people swim once in the ocean and the salt and sand is enough for one day and one suit.  The sand and salt is difficult to get out and will ruin your stuff.  You will need rugged terrain clothing for the excursion in the rainforest.  This means hiking boots, cargo pants and possibly a long sleeve shirt.  Plan for packing a hat and clothing you will get dirty.  Who knows, you might end up in a canoe on the river or swinging on a vine through a path in the jungle.  When packing, look for custom packaging solutions to ensure you are not too heavy for the overpriced fees at the airport.  Don’t pack everything but the kitchen sink.  You can pull each edge protector from the corner of your suitcase if you like.  The cardboard edge protectors in the suitcases aren’t really needed.

Your camera is probably the most important item that you cannot forget when you get to the Amazon rainforest.  Your phone might have a camera in it.  However, if it doesn’t, bring a professional one.  The pictures that you take on this vacation are ones that you never want to forget.  They will last you a  long time and this will be a vacation that you can show off to everyone.  If you forget your camera, you will regret it every day that goes by after your trip is over.  Plus, those people who didn’t believe you were going to the Amazon’s will never believe you really went.

There are a few things you need to do is you are traveling to the Amazon rain forest.  These things include packing things for fun in the sun and things that you will need through the jungle, take a trip through the jungle, and never forget your camera.

There are rainforests around the world that you might not even know existed. You can travel to a rainforest in the United States, New Guinea, Ghana, Malaysia, and even Bolivia.

New Guinea has an amazing tropical rainforest located along the Sepik River. This includes tropical rainforests and freshwater wetlands and it is considered to be comparable to the Congo Basins and the Amazon. The Full Papua Monty is the journey you might attempt but for most travelers it is still too difficult. Throughout this beautiful river region you can expect to see many different paradise birds, carvings, totem poles from tribes and much more. The cultural experience is amazing and if you are traveling during the holidays don’t expect to see too many decorated artificial Christmas trees. The only place you might get lucky to see prelit Christmas trees and decorative artificial Christmas trees is at your hotel if it is a popular and known accommodation.

One thing you might not have known is that the United States has the Hoh rainforest in the state of Washington. This forest has trees that are over 500 years old that are some of the largest trees you will have ever seen. This forest experiences over 250 inches of rainfall every year. There are many nature trails you can walk through and enjoy the beauty this forest has to offer. It is full of conifers and maple trees with tons of thick fern and moss.

The Kakum National Park in Ghana is another rainforest known as one of  the planet’s ecological hot spots. It is listed by the Conservation International and located in West Africa. The continent has only a few ecosystems that are as diverse as this one and it also has the most endangered species in the world inhabited in it. The only issue that you may find here is that the foreign currency seems to be an issue for travelers so many tourists have had issues in the past. It is a visitor friendly place where you can go through a walkway that is suspended almost 100 feet in the air by trees that are almost 400 years old.

Malaysia has one of the most adventurous rainforests that you can travel to hiking through deep jungles and alongside the river. You can even see and visit ancient tribes from the Stone Ages. People favor visiting the hinterlands of Sarawak, which are located on the island of Borneo. Here you will find Batang Ai which inhabits their well known orangutans in their domain. If you visit the Rehabilitation Center then you will find many of the orangutans and apes that have been injured or orphaned.

There are many rainforests around the world that provide some of the most amazing and beautiful views that you will ever find of nature and the wild. People from all around the planet travel to these destinations so they can experience what is slowly going away. If you love the wildlife then you will absolutely love to travel to one of the most spectacular sites on the planet.

If you want to see some of the beautiful rainforests around the world there are many to see. Many of them are in locations of Peru, Uganda, Australia, and even Costa Rica. These destinations tend to provide an exotic and amazing vacation that you might enjoy during the holidays.

One wonderful place that you might enjoy during the holidays is the Manu National Rainforest in Peru. This is a fabulous destination that is very comparable to the Amazon. You can experience seeing the caiman crocodiles, macaws, and even jaguars. There is a wildlife center that you must visit if you would like to see some of the different types of colorful birds in the region. You might even spot a monkey in a lighted palm tree. Peru is known for the beautiful scenery and the rainforest is one that you cannot miss.

Uganda has a fantastic rainforest destination also known as the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This rainforest has it’s name due to the truth that it is impenetrable.  It is located on the western Rift Valley of Africa and the forest is incredibly dense. There are more than 300 gorillas in the mountainous regions, which total for more than half of the entire world’s population of gorillas. Most people who come to this region find the gorillas are a must see. The artificial Christmas trees don’t have a chance of being as spectacular as some of the apes you will see in their true domains. You may see monkeys jumping from branch to branch as you hike through the deep forest at incredible heights.

Fraser Island is another rainforest that is favored by people who love nature. This is located on a 70-mile island off of Queensland and known as a very strange ecosystem because it is supported by sand. You won’t see many artificial Christmas trees here but instead some of the purest strains of wild dogs and species of birds you have ever seen. Fraser Island is listed as a world heritage site.

Costa Rica and Panama are known for their rainforest where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans converge. You can visit the Talamanca Range on the Costa Rica side where you will see more than 200 different species of mammals, over 800 species of birds, 150 amphibians, and more than 200 reptiles. There are also more than 100 species of freshwater fish too. The Panama side of the Talamanca Range is another experience and you can spot many species of animals in the canopy of the rainforest.

Mount Cook National Park is located in New Zealand and a very calm atmosphere. If you are looking for adventure then this is not the place for you. Instead, this rainforest is full of thermal pools, slow moving glaciers, and a beautiful temperate rain forest that is complete with tons of animals and wildlife.

There are many places around the world that you might go if you are looking for a destination that includes the rainforest. Many people think that there is only one rainforest but there are actually many spread throughout the world. All of the different rainforests are different and unique in their own way offering different species of animals and scenic views that are breathtaking.
